Ward was born at MonroeLouisianaon 14 April1976. Monroe Christian School served as her Christian elementary school. She was a student at Ouachita High School for her secondary education. She then transferred into River Oaks High School after the school year ended. Following graduation, she briefly attended Northeast Louisiana University. Ward left her high school when she was 13 years old to begin modeling. In the years following she decided to pursue acting. At first, in the 1970s she played an uncredited character in the show All My Children. A couple of years later, she was selected for the NBC primetime teen drama Malibu Shores. In the latter half of 1996Ward got a job in the daytime soap opera Sunset Beach where she portrayed the sexually virginal Meg Cummings. The other roles she has played include numerous direct-to-DVD films and the role of a guest on TV series, such as Friends. In 2009she landed the role Chloe Kmet kothe mother of a young gymna ston the ABC Family drama series Make It or Break It as a member of the cast during the first two seasons of the show. In her private life, she was married to David C. Robinson. They had a son named Cameron.
